At Cornell
Librado Barocio joined the Big Red coaching staff during the spring of 2023 as a assistant secondary coach.
Prior to Cornell
Barocio joined the Big Red following a season as a graduate assistant coach working with defensive backs at UConn. The Huskies' defense ranked 23rd nationally in interceptions in 2022. He spent one year prior to that at Fresno State as Director of On-Campus Recruiting and an offensive analyst. In his one season, the team's recruiting class was the top-ranked in the Mountain West Conference. Fresno State earned a spot in the PUBG Mobile New Mexico Bowl against UTEP in 2021.
For three years, Barocio worked for the Los Angeles Rams in Community Affairs and Engagement. He managed and developed youth camps and other outreach toi the local community.
After graduating from UCLA in 2015, Barocio stayed at his alma mater, working as a defensive quality control coach for two years before moving to Defensive Analyst for one season before heading to the NFL.
Playing Career
A five-year member of the varsity team at UCLA, he played corner, safety and on special teams. He was nominated for the Bulsworth Trophy as the nation's top player who began his career as a walk-on and earned a scholarship. He was named to the UCLA Athletic Director's Honor Roll a total of 11 times before earning his degree in Sociology in 2015.
Barocio played as a prep at Loyola HS, earning the team's MVP and Coaches Award. In two seasons as a starter, the all-league pick tallied seven interceptions, 166 tackles and 25 pass breakups.
