In his first season, special teams made a significant impact in Cornell's first top-half Ivy finish in 13 years. All-Ivy punter and place-kicker Nickolas Null paced the Ivy in punting average (39.5), while the Big Red ranked 20th nationally in kick return defense (17.7 ypr.) and was in the top three in the Ancient Eight in net punting (third, 35.5) and punt return defense (third, 7.2).

Prior to Cornell

Dubowski began his coaching career by spending two seasons at Mercyhurst where he worked as a graduate assistant coach working with tight ends, fullbacks and tackles. He also served as the team's video coordinator. During his time there, Dubowski coached a two-time All-American at fullback and a two-time all-league tight end. He obtained his master's from Mercyhurst in organizational leadership.

As a collegiate player at Indiana-Pennsylvania he was a fullback during his freshman and sophomore seasons before moving to linebacker for his final two years. As a fullback, Dubowski played in 15 games, making nine starts. He had five receptions for 58 yards and one touchdown. After moving to linebacker, Dubowski had 41 tackles over the course of two seasons, including 5.5 tackles for loss. He added a sack, a fumble recovery, two interceptions, three pass breakups and a forced fumble. He graduated from IUP in 2017 with a bachelor's in operations management and minor in economics.

A native of Erie, Pa., he attended Cathedral Preparatory HS. He was a two-time all-state linebacker that helped his team win a state title in 2012 while grabbing the No. 17 national ranking by USA Today.
