As a senior (2019)
• Captured honorable mention All-Ivy League honors as both a place-kicker and punter.
• Led the Ivy League and ranked 58th nationally with his 39.5 yard average on punts with 16 downed inside the 20 and seven going at least 50 yards. (among NCAA qualifying players)
• In Ivy games only, led the conference in total punts, punts inside the 20 (11), 50-yard punts (5) and punts that were fair caught (15).
• Fifth in the Ancient Eight in field goals per game (0.67, 83rd nationally).
• Missed the season opener due to injury.
• Averaged 48.0 yards per punt on four kicks with three of 50 yards or better and two downed inside the 20 at Ivy preseason favorite Yale.
• Punted eight times against Georgetown, averaging 42.9 yards with three downed inside the 20.
• Connected on a PAT and a 49-yard field goal, a career-long and the sixth-longest in school history, while punting eight times at Harvard.
• Averaged 41.4 yards on five punts against Colgate with two downed inside the 20.
• Booted a game-winning, 41-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give the Big Red a 37-35 win over Brown.
• That capped a day that saw him go 3-for-3 on field goals (38, 29, 41 yards) and 4-of-4 on PATs while also averaging 42.0 yards on three punts with one downed inside the Brown 5.
• Averaged 35.3 yards punting vs. No. 12 Princeton with two of his six kicks downed inside the 20.
• Booted a pair of field goals and averaged 36.0 yards per punt with three downed inside the 20 on seven attempts in the win at No. 12 Dartmouth.
• Had two of his four punts downed inside the 10 in the Senior Day win over Columbia for the Empire State Bowl.
As a junior (2018)
• Averaged 43.1 yards per punt on 14 attempts with four downed inside the 20 and six fair caught.
• Allowed just 13 return yards on those 14 punts.
• Was 3-of-4 on field goal attempts with a long of 45 yards and made 8-of-9 PATs.
• Averaged 45.7 yards per punt on six kicks and made his only field goal attempt in the 2018 opener at Delaware.
• Made a 41-yard field goal and all three PATs vs. Yale, adding 40.0 yard average on four punts.
• Kicked a 45-yard field goal, made 4-of-5 PATs and averaged 42.5 yards on four punts in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Missed the final seven games of the season due to injury.
As a sophomore (2017)
• Named a second-team All-Ivy at place-kicker and an honorable mention pick as the punter, becoming the first Cornell player to earn multiple spots on the All-Ivy team since Rashad Campbell in 2010 (first team return specialist, second team defensive back).
• A four-time Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week, he finished third in the Ivy League in punting average (40.4), a mark that ranked 45th nationally.
• Took over as the team's primary place-kicker midway through the season and was 4-of-5 on field goals and 6-of-6 on PAT attempts, while putting all 17 kickoffs through the end zone for touchbacks (excluding one on-sides kick attempt).
• His 17 touchbacks in five games were more than half the teams in the league had for the season.
• His signature moment came when he drilled the game-winning 43-yard field goal with 0:48 to play at Princeton.
• Had a school record seven punts downed inside the 20 – all downed inside the 15, with three inside the 10 - in a field position game at Dartmouth.
• On 70 total kicks (kickoffs and punts), he allowed only 53 total return yards.
• Named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week after his effort against Brown — 44.2 net yards per punt on five attempts, 3-for-3 PATs, 3-for-3 kickoff touchbacks.
• Averaged 48.0 yards on three punts with one greater than 50 yards and one downed inside the 20 at Delaware to open the season.
• Averaged 39.8 yards on six punts at Yale.
• Averaged 42.5 yards on four punts, including a 59-yarder that was downed inside the 1 in the Big Red’s win over Harvard.
• Had a 55-yard punt among his six kicks for a 42.5 yard average against Bucknell.
• Averaged 45.2 yards on five punts against Columbia.
As a freshman (2016)
• Scored 26 points in seven games as the team's starting place-kicker.
• Finished the season 3-of-4 on field goals with a long of 34 yards, while nailing 17-of-19 PAT kicks.
• Also booted kickoffs, averaging 56.8 yards with 10 touchbacks on 27 opportunities.
• Scored his first collegiate point with a PAT at No. 16 Harvard, while also posting touchbacks on each of his two kickoffs.
• Kicked a 34-yard field goal, hit all three PATs and booted three of five kickoffs through the end zone for touchbacks against Sacred Heart.
• Hit all three PAT attempts against Brown.
• Hit his only PAT against Princeton and had one touchback on two kickoffs.
• Had a pair of field goals against Dartmouth.
• Was perfect on six PAT kicks in the win at Columbia.
Prior to Cornell
• Null earned three all-state citations during his high school career, twice in Pennsylvania and once in Florida where he graduated from Manatee HS.
• He was a second-team pick as a senior after going 44-for-44 on PATs and 8-of-11 field goals, including a 52-yarder.
• He also averaged 37.7 yards per punt on 35 attempts with a long of 76 and had 43 touchbacks on 66 kickoffs in his final year.
• Null earned various spots on all-conference, all-area, all-district and all-region teams.
• He was named the All-Southwest Team kicker by the Florida Coaches and earned first-team honors by the Bradenton Herald in each of his final two seasons.
• He was ranked the 13th-best kicker in the country by Pro Kicker and represented South Florida on the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star team.
• As a junior, Null was rated among the nation’s top 20 kickers by Pro Kicker, Kohl’s Kicking and Adidas Elite Eight National Kickers.
Personal
• Nickolas Gene Null is the son of David and Dana Null and has an older and younger brother.
• His older brother, Alexander, played soccer at Philadelphia University.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
