As a junior (2021)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a sophomore (2020)

• Hit .217 as a sophomore with five hits in seven games started at third base.
• Recorded one triple and drove in two RBI.
• Opened the season with a 2-for-4 at the plate performance against Albany.
 

As a freshman (2019)

• Hit .262 with 11 doubles, a home run and 18 RBI as a freshman.
• Started all 46 games on the year, including 45 at shortstop.
• Had a season-long 13 game hit streak during the season.
• Compiled six multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance with a double and two RBI at Morgan State.
• Batted .276 in Ivy League play.
• Hit a grand slam against Princeton for her first career homer.
• Recorded a pair of doubles in games against UMBC and Dartmouth.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Rooney helped John Jay HS to a pair of sectional titles while playing second, third and short.
• Named the section's positional player of the year as a senior.
• Served as team captain her senior year.
• Twice named to the Poughkeepsie Journal Softball All-Star team.
• Earned a spot in the Diamond Nine Plus One team honoring scholastic and extra-curricular activities along with softball prowess.
 

Personal

• Olivia Grace Rooney is the daughter of Paul and Susan Rooney and has an older sister and younger brother.
• Her sister, Bridgette, is also a member of the Cornell softball team.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
