Al Kelley

Biography

He was an outstanding player on Coach Carl Snavely[apos]s Big Red teams of 1938, [apos]39 and [apos]40. He wasn[apos]t an All-Eastern end as a junior and in his final grid season he was selected for All-America honors. He was awarded the Carl Snavely Award for Aggressiveness in football. He later served as an assistant football coach at Cornell from 1946 through 1949 and went on to become head coach at Brown in 1951. Kelley was also head football coach at Colgate. He played baseball at Cornell for two years and helped the diamondmen to an E.I.B.L. championship in 1940. He was an All-League outfielder.
