He was a three-time All-Eastern Lightweight Football League first-team selection at three different positions - punter and running back in 1984, punter in 1985 and wide receiver in 1986. He was instrumental in helping the lightweights tie for the league crown in both 1984 and 1986. He was tri-captain and team MVP his senior year, when he led the lightweights in receiving with 20 catches for 500 yards and four touchdowns, and finished second in the ELFL with 17 receptions in league play. He was second on the team in scoring with 27 points, and led the Big Red in all-purpose yards with 720.
