Despite being one of the smallest Big Red goalies ever, he recorded the best record ever in collegiate hockey for one season - 29-0--leading Cornell to a national championship in 1969-70 and the only undefeated untied season in modern college hockey history. That year he posted the best goals against average in the nation with a 1.86 mark, including three shutouts, allowing 53 goals in 29 games and making 612 saves. An All-East pick in 1970 and [apos]71 and an All-Ivy second team selection in 1970, he had a career record of 50-5 for a 2.11 goals against average to rank second on Cornell[apos]s all-time career list. In 1971, he garnered All-Ivy first team honors and was named the team MVP. He holds the school record for shutout sequence, blanking opponents over four games for a total of 189 minutes and 48 seconds in 1969-70. Cropper is a native of Toronto, Ont.
