Charles Capron

Biography

A three-year letterman in both sports, he was captain of the basketball team which won the Eastern intercollegiate championship in 1924, and was among the top 10 scorers in the league that year. A guard, he was picked by the Spaulding Sports Manual as a member of its All-America tea. He was a shortstop and second baseman in baseball. Capron was president of his family[apos]s business, a coal and fuel oil operation, in Wayland, N.Y. at the time of his death in 1964.
