Cornell University Athletics

A three-year letterman in both sports, he was named to the All-Ivy second team in basketball as a senior when he was third in team scoring with a 12.8 average. In baseball he captained the team in 1965 and was named to the Eastern Intercollegiate League first team as an outfielder. He led the Big Red in batting as a senior with a .348 mark and had one of the top 10 best averages in the league that year. He was the recipient of the Cornell Sun Athlete of the Year Award in [apos]65. He coached the Big Red freshman basketball team in 1966-67 and again from 1969-71. A graduate of Binghamton (N.Y.) Central High School, he was head basketball coach at Southern Methodist University.
