A four-year letter winner in volleyball, she was named to the All-Ivy first team in 1981, 1982 and 1984, while earning second-team honors in 1983. She was an All-New York state first-team pick in 1982 and 1983 and was a New York state tournament all-star selection in 1982, when Cornell won the team title. She was also named the N.Y.S. tournament most valuable player her senior year when Cornell again won the state crown and also captured the ECAC tournament championship. She was co-captain in 1984. During her four-year varsity career, the Cornell women[apos]s volleyball team compiled a remarkable overall record of 156-28-1. She graduated from La Jolla (Calif.) High School, where she was a two-time all-league selection.
