A four-year letter winner, she was instrumental in leading the women[apos]s gymnastics team to Ivy League titles in 1978 and 1979 and a runner-up finish in 1980. She was the Ivy champion on the balance beam as a freshman, sophomore, and senior to earn All-Ivy honors each season, and was runner-up in that event as a junior. She captured three New York state championships in floor exercise (1978-79-80), took the state beam title in 1979 and [apos]80 as was state runner-up in the all-around as a sophomore, helping the Big Red to the state title in 1979 and [apos]80. At the Eastern AIAW championships in 1980, she placed 16th in the all-around and was 12th in floor ex, as the team finished seventh. Gross was team co-captain as a junior and senior. The former resident of Appalachian, N.Y. graduated from Vestal Senior High School.
