The 6-1 guard closed out a brilliant four-year basketball career at Cornell in 1986-87, when he was named to the All-Ivy first team for the third consecutive year, becoming just the 12th Ivy player ever to earn three first-team selections. In addition, he was runner-up for Ivy Player of the Year honors for the second straight season and received honorable mention All-America by The Sporting News for the third straight time. He set Cornell[apos]s all-time career scoring record with 1,663 points and also established school career records for field goals made (647) and free throw percentage (.856). In addition, he set season marks for points scored by a freshman (279 in 1983-84) and free throw percentage (.899 in 1985-86), and game records for points by a freshman (22 vs. Brown, 1984) and free throw percentage (1.000, 12x12, vs. Marist, 1985). He also finished his career as the third most accurate free throw shooter in Cornell history (.537). As a junior he ranked seventh in NCAA Division I free throw percentage (.899). He was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and earned All-Ivy honorable mention as a freshman. Bajusz was team MVP and tri-captain as a junior and senior. A native of Naperville, Ill., he is a graduate of Benet Academy, and was a volunteer assistant coach at Cornell in 1991-92.
