Biography

A three-year letterman, he rowed in either the No.6 seat or stroked the varsity crew throughout his career. In 1973 he was one of 14 American oarsmen selected for the U.S. National team that competed in the European Rowing Championships in Moscow, rowing in the vital No.6 seat. In 1974 he was a member of the U.S. eight that won the World Rowing title at Lucerne, Switzerland, rowing in the No.2 seat. He won a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University, where he rowed for two years. Brown is a graduate of Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Co.
