Biography

While excelling in the triple jump, Kulik was a multi-event meter dashes. At the end of her four-year career, she was the Cornell record holder of all the long and triple jump marks, the indoor 55-meter hurdles record, the record for points scored in the pentathlon at the Heptagonal championships and she also had the longest indoor and outdoor ECAC championships, and as a senior, she was the outdoor Heps champion, indoor and outdoor ECAC champion, placed 10th in the indoor NCAA championships and 21s at the outdoor NCAAs. In the pentathlon, she was third at the indoor Heptagonals with a school record 3,374 points in 1984, and was 10th at the ECAC championships in 1983. In the long jump, she won the indoor Heps title in 1982, while placing se3cond at the outdoor Heps in 1985. She was the team co-captain as a senior, was named the team[apos]s most valuable performer, the outstanding senior hurdler, and received the Galting Award, given to the senior who has done the most for Cornell track. She graduated from Wellsboro (Pa.) Area Senior High.
