Biography

She was a center on the Cornell women[apos]s ice hockey team from 1979 to 1983, with the [apos]80 and [apos]81 squads winning Ivy League titles. She was a three-time All-Ivy first-team selection and was second team as a freshman. The co-Ivy Player of the Year in 1981, Degidio was assistant captain of the Big Red as a junior and tri-captain her senior year. She ranks third on Cornell[apos]s all-time scoring list (123-90-213); second in game points (12), game assists (7) and career goals; tied for first in game goals (7) and career hat tricks (18); and fourth in career assists. She led the Ivy League in points (24) and goals scored (15) as a senior and led the Red in points and goals scored three straight years. She was team MVP in 1982-83. A native of Cranston, R.I., and a graduate of Cranston East High School, she was also head coach of the women[apos]s ice hockey team at Brown University.
