Cornell[apos]s starting quarterback for three years, he set 12 Big Red passing records during his career. As a sophomore he quarterbacked Cornell to a tie for the Ivy League championship, the first time in the history of the league that a sophomore had achieved that distinction. Cornell was 8-1 that year and 6-3 in his junior season when he led the Ivy League in total offense. His biggest year statistically was as a senior when he led the league in passing. In the final game against Pennsylvania in [apos]73, he completed 27 of 56 passes for 395 yards and had 388 yards of total offense, all Big Red records. The 56 pass attempts set an Ivy League record. He also set school season and career records for pass attempts, pass completions and yards passing, and the game and career mark for TD passes. The team[apos]s MVP in 1973, he was selected to the All-Ivy second team as a junior and senior. He is a 1970 graduate of Seymour, Conn., High School.
