Kenneth G. Brown

Biography

He was a three-year letterman in both football and baseball. He was a back on the football team and was co-captain of the squad in 1939, when Cornell won the Ivy League title for the second straight year, was ranked No.4 in the nation and was winner of the Lambert Trophy as the most outstanding team in the East. As a right fielder in baseball, he was named to the Eastern Intercollegiate League second team in 1939 and was a first-team selection in 1940, when Cornell won the league championship with a 10-1 record, after the 1939 diamondmen tied with Harvard for the crown with a 9-3 mark. Following graduation, Brown worked with the varsity football staff for one season.
