Biography

Outstanding distance runner, 1911-12. He set the American two-mile record in Ithaca in his senior year. He was the IC4A cross country champ in his sophomore year and finished second to Cornell[apos]s John Paul Jones the next two years. In addition, he was the IC4A two-mile champion twice (record holder). A three-time All-American, he won the 3000-meter team race at the 1912 Olympics.
