Biography

He was a two-time All-America and All-Ivy first-team attackman in lacrosse. He was voted Ivy Player of the Year in 1987 and was the recipient of the Lt. Ray Enners Award as the nation[apos]s outstanding player, as well as the Turnbull Award as the outstanding attackman in Division I. He set the NCAA tournament assist record (16), tied the tournament points record (25) and was named the tourney MVP in 1987, when Cornell was runner-up for the national title and compiled an overall record of 13-1. Goldstein led the nation in scoring (100 points) and broke the all-time collegiate record for season assist (73) in 1987, becoming only the second player in collegiate lacrosse history to score 100 season points. He ranks fourth on Cornell[apos]s all-time career points list with 168 points and is second in career assists (122). He was tri-captain as a senior and team MVP in 1987 and [apos]88. He was selected to the 1990 Team USA lacrosse squad which played in the World Games in Perth, Australia. He is a graduate of Ward Melville High School in Stony Brook, N.Y.
