At Cornell
Murray has moved to linebacker in 2010 and earned a spot on special teams, earning his first letter. Murray made seven tackles, including a pair of stops at Harvard. He will compete for an increased role in the defense in 2011 after working with the starting unit during the spring. He played on the junior varsity teams as a freshman and sophomore. Murray is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At Bronxville
Murray was the leading rusher in Section 1 football as a senior, running for 1,488 yards for Bronxville HS in just nine games en route to all-state, all-league and all-section honors. His rushing total placed him No. 4 in the state. A three-year varsity starter, Murray averaged 7.7 yards per carry and 165.3 yards per game. Team captain as a senior, he saw action at running back, cornerback, linebacker and punter during his career. Murray was chosen to play in the section’s senior all-star game. Murray was a two-time all-league pick who earned Golden Dozen Award recognition by the Westchester County’s chapter of the National Football Foundation as one of 12 outstanding scholar-athletes. He took home his school’s outstanding scholar-athlete award, as well as awards for sportsmanship and leadership at Bronxville HS. Murray earned varsity letters in baseball, track and basketball, serving as team captain of the basketball team as a senior. He was an all-league pick in track in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

Personal
Christopher Mohan Murray is the son of Jim and Lorraine Murray and has two younger brothers. His mother is a 1976 Cornell graduate.
