Competed in three races for the Big Red... highlighted by a sixth place finish at the John Reif Memorial Run in 15:49.5.
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Attended the Latin School of Chicago… competed in cross country and track & field for four years, earning four varsity letters in each… two-time all-state selection in cross country… helped team to a state championship in 2021 and third-place finishes in 2022 and 2024… served as team captain in both cross country and track as a junior and senior… school record holder in track… recipient of the school sportsmanship award.
PERSONAL
Benjamin Smith Gibson is the son of Denise and Matt Gibson… has two brothers, Ryan and Sam… born in Short Hills, New Jersey… raised in Chicago, Illinois… enrolled in the Nolan School of Hotel Administration… intends to pursue a career as a restaurateur.
