At Cornell
Knoblock was first-year head coach Mike Henderson's first assistant hired for the cross country teams. As the assistant coach for the cross country and track and field teams, Knoblock aids in the coaching of the mid-distance and distance runners. In her first season with the Big Red, Knoblock helped to coach the women's cross country team to its first automatic bid for the NCAA Championship since 1998. Later in the year, she assisted in training junior Elle Orie as she broke the facility record, and won the event, for the 5000 at the 2020 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships. As part of her mid-distance training, she assisted in coaching the men's 4x800 relay team that won the event at the Ivy League championship race. Unfortunately, Knoblock and her distance runners were unable to finish out the 2019-20 track season as the spring season was canceled in order to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After the Bg Red returned to competition in 2021, Knoblock helped guide junior Rebecca Hasser to First Team All-Ivy honors as she ran a personal-best time to finish seventh overall at Heps. At the 2021 NCAA Northeast Regional, Perry Mackinnon earned a trip to the NCAA Championship meet in Tallahassee, Fla. as a top individual finisher not associated with a qualifying team.
Prior to Cornell
Prior to joining the Big Red team, Knoblock spent two seasons with the University of Florida cross country/track and field teams as a volunteer assistant coach. While with the Gators, Knoblock was responsible for writing training regimens for the distance runners in addition to working with recruits. The Gators saw one cross country All-American and two outdoor track and field national qualifiers, for distance events, under Knoblock’s instruction. The 2017 cross country team placed 22nd at the Southeast Regional competition while the 2018 team placed 16th at the NCAA National Championship.
Competitive Career
While at Towson, Knoblock was a standout runner on the cross country, and track and field teams. The three-season athlete was a number one finisher in cross country as well as holding a school record in the indoor track and field distance medley relay. A two-time captain, Knoblock also held school records for the 3000m steeplechase and the distance medley relay for outdoor track and field.
Personal
While spending time as a volunteer assistant coach for the Gators, Knoblock worked with the Gator Boosters as she studied for her master’s degree in sport management. She also spent six months working for the Florida High School Athletic Association as a Graduate Assistant.
Knoblock is a native of West Deptford, N.J.
