Mark Tedder's up-to-date performances

As a Senior (2016-17)

Tedder competed in six cross country meets as a senior, starting off the season with an 11th place finish at the Spiked Shoe Invitational. He also finished 44th at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships and 70th at the NCAA Northeast Regionals.

Tedder had a stellar final track season, closing out his collegiate career as the 10,000 meter champion at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships as well as qualifying for the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round for the 5000, where he eventually finished 36th. At Indoor Heps, he was a point-scorer following a seventh-place finish in the 4x800 relay.

As a Junior (2015-16)
Tedder ran in two cross country races as a junior, placing third at the Canisius Alumni Classic and finishing 53rd at Ivy League Cross Country Championships.

He had a strong year on the track, opening his indoor season with a win in the 3K at the Cornell Indoor Upstate Challenge and a second-place finish in the mile at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup. He finished fourth in the mile at Ivy League Indoor Heptagonals and helped the 4x800 team to a fifth-place finish. He closed the indoor season on a high note, placing second in the 3K at IC4A Championships in a personal-best 8:02.77. Outdoors, he never finished out of the top four, winning the 800 at the UC Riverside Spring Break Invitational and the 5K at the UCLA Distance Carnival in a PR 13:57.38. He placed fourth in the 5K at Outdoor Heps.

As a Sophomore (2014-15)
After missing the cross country and indoor track seasons due to injury, Tedder returned to the outdoor track. He won the 1500 in 3:53.22 at the Upstate Challenge. At Bucknell, he placed second in the 800 with a time of 1:57.18 and helped the 4x800 relay team to a fifth place finish. He also came in second in the 5000 at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational, bettering the track record with a time of 14:26.29.

As a Freshman (2013-14)
Tedder had an exceptional start to his collegiate career, placing first at the season-opener against Army on the Moakley Course with a time of 25:22.3. He also ran at the Boston College Invitational, the Pre-National Meet and placed 44th at the Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships with a time of 24:44.0.

Tedder piggybacked on an excellent cross country season with a solid season on the track. He participated primarily in the team relays and individual distance races. He had an fantastic showing at the Deneault Memorial, helping the 4x8 relay team to a 1st place finish, while finishing 1st in the 1000 with a personal best time of 2:28.52. At the Indoor Heps, he helped the distance medley relay team take 4th place, while he finished just outside the final eight in the 1000. He wrapped up the indoor season the following week at the IC4A’s, helping the distance medley relay team again take 4th place. Outdoors, he participated in the 5000 and 10,000 distances. His best showing came at the Penn Relays, finishing 1st with a personal best 14:25.24 in the 5000. He ran the 5000 at the Outdoor Heps and IC4A’s finishing 16th and 18th respectively.

Before Cornell
Tedder competed on both the cross country and track and field teams at Battle Ground HS. As a member of the cross country team he was named First Team All-League from 2010-2012, All-Region in 2011 and 2012, and All-State in 2012.  He also captained the team in his final two seasons. Additionally, Tedder captained the track and field team in 2013. He was named Second Team All-League for the 1600-meter event in 2012 and was All-Region that same year. 

Personal
Mark Daniel Tedder is the son of Daniel and Cindy Tedder. He has two brothers, Luke and Andrew, and one sister, Amy. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
