First-Team All-Ivy League (Indoor - 4x800) (2020)


As a Senior (2019-20)

• Ran at the Reif Memorial (10/25).
• Competed in four indoor meets.
• Assisted his 4x400 relay team to a second-place finish at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/8).
• Helped the 4x800 team to an Ivy League title with a first-place finish at Indoor Heps (2/29-3/1).

As a Junior (2018-19)

• Ran in four outdoor meets.
• Collected a PR with a 10th-place finish at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational in the 800m with a time of 1:53.78 (4/6).
• Competed in the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonals (5/4-5) in the 4x800m relay, finished in fourth place.
• Ran in five indoor meets.
• Finished first in the DMR at the Greg Page Relays on Dec. 1.
• Competed in two events at the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships (2/23-24), earned a fourth place finish in the 4x800m relay and a seventh place finish in the 500m. Also earned a PR time of 1:04.84 in the preliminary race for the 500m.
• Ran in one cross country meet, earning a 5k PR at the John Reif Memorial with a time of 17:35.9 (10/19).

As a Sophomore (2017-18)

• Competed at the Indoor Heps, taking seventh in the 4x800 (7:46.04) and 13th in the 800 (2:00.21).
• Tallied six top-five finishes, including a win in the 4x800 at the Greg Page Relays (7:57.65).
• Earned indoor 800 personal record (1:55.19) at the Scarlet and White Invitational, taking 29th.
• Did not compete in any cross country meets.

As a Freshman (2016-17)

• Made collegiate cross country debut at the Spiked Shoe Invitational and went on to compete in the Paul Short 8K Gold Race and the John Reif Memorial Run. • On the track, competed in five indoor meets and four outdoor meets.
• Was a member of a 4x800 meter relay squad that finished second at the Upstate Challenge (8:01.47) and third at the Greg Page Relays (8:01.47).
• Also finished fifth in both the 800 (2:00.62) and the 300 (37.28) at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational.

Before Cornell

• Goosby was a captain of both the cross country and track field teams his senior year at Mater Dei High School.
• He was a member of the 2014 CIF Southern Section Track and Field Championship team.
• Goosby was also a member of the National Honor Society while in high school.

Personal

• Shane Michael Goosby is the son of Mike and Keisha Goosby, and he has a younger sister, Samantha.
• He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
