As a Senior (2017-18)
• Scored at the Outdoor Heps with a sixth-place showing in the steeplechase (9:05.23).
• At Indoor Heps, was 10th in the mile (4:20.26) and eight in the DMR (10:18.15).
• Set personal record in the mile during preliminaries (4:13.78).
• 30th in the steeplechase (9:34.94) at the IC4A Outdoor Championships.
• Won the steeplechase (9:08.69) at the Sam Howell Invitational and the 1000 (2:30.48) at the Deneault Memorial Invitational.
• Recorded 10 top-10 finishes throughout the season.
• Was an important member of the cross country team, running in four meets, including the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships where he emerged as the number three runner for Cornell.
• Began the year 28th at the quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU and was then fifth for the Big Red and 108th overall at the Paul Short Run.
• Continued on at the Penn State National Open, placing 75th and ended his season with a stellar 27th-place showing at the Heps.
As a Junior (2016-17)
• Began his junior cross country season by finishing 119th at the Spiked Shoe Invitational and finished it with an 84th place finish at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships.
• Finished a season-best fifth overall at the John Reif Memorial Run.
• Had a successful junior track season, scoring at both the Indoor and Outdoor IC4A/ECAC Track and Field Championships while also grabbing points for Cornell at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships.
• Throughout the year, earned five top-three finishes, including a win in the 2000 meter steeplechase at the Kane Invitational.
• At the Indoor IC4A/ECACs, helped the distance medley relay team place third (9:53.04) and then went on to take fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a new collegiate-best time (8:59.03) at the Outdoor IC4A/ECACs.
• Was the runner-up in the 3k steeplechase at the Outdoor Heps (9:04.68) and closed out his season at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round, finishing 47th in the steeplechase (9:49.32).
As a Sophomore (2015-16)
• Ran in four cross country meets during his sophomore season, posting a season-best ninth-place finish at the John Reif Memorial.
• On the track, competed in the non-traditional 2K steeplechase at the Cornell April Cabin Fever Indoor Invitational, winning the event.
• Also picked up a first-place finish in the 3K steeplechase outdoors at the Big Red Invitational.
As a Freshman (2014-15)
• Continued to improve over the course of his freshman season, posting his best time at Princeton when he finished in 25:24.
• On the track, he finished third in the 3K Steeplechase (9:36.48) at the Cornell Invitational.
Before Cornell
• Wang had a very successful junior season at Acalanes, taking home 1st place in the 1600 with a personal best time of 4:14.67 at the 2013 Sacramento Meet of Champions.
• He will look to make an immediate impact in the distance races for the Big Red.
