Ross Clarke's up-to-date results
As a Senior (2017-18)
• Placed eighth in the DMR (10:18.15) and 12th in the 500 (1:05.63) at the Indoor Heps.
• Runner-up in the 500 at the Sunday Invitational in a personal-record time of 1:05.39.
• Tallied nine top-10 finishes throughout the season.
• Did not compete in any cross country meets.
As a Junior (2016-17)
• Competed in two cross country races during his junior season, finishing 95th at the Spiked Shoe Invitational and 18th at the John Reif Memorial Run.
• On the track, competed in both the indoor and outdoor Ivy League Track and Field Championships.
• Indoors, was a member of the second place Distance Medley Relay squad (9:54.58) while also running the 800.
• Also won the 800 at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational in one of eight top 10 performances on the indoor oval.
• Outdoors, finished eighth in the 800 final at the outdoor Heps with a collegiate best while also setting a collegiate best of 1:53.47 in the preliminary round.
• Also grabbed fifth place in the 800 at the Larry Ellis Invitational (1:53.99) and finished third in the event at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational (1:56.57).
As a Sophomore (2015-16)
• Made his collegiate cross country debut as a sophomore, running in two races for the Big Red, including an 18th-place finish at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.
• On the track, posted a number of top-five finishes, including a win in the 800 meters at the Cornell April Cabin Fever Indoor Invitational.
• Also placed fifth in the 500 at the Marc Deneault Invitational.
• Outdoors, helped the 4x400 relay team to a win at the Cornell Outdoor Upstate Challenge and placed fourth in the 800 at the same meet and at the Big Red Invitational.
As a Freshman (2014-15)
• Came out strong in his freshman season, winning the 800 at the Kane Invitational in 1:56.10, where he was also a member of the third-place 4x400 team.
• At Indoor IC4As, competed in the distance medley, where the team finished in 9:53.16 to take over the No. 6 spot in the Cornell record book.
• Outdoors, grabbed third place finishes in the 800 at the Princeton Invitational (1:58.33), the Sunday Invitational (1:56.58) and the Bucknell Invitational (1:59.58).
Before Cornell
• Clarke blossomed into one of the best middle distance runners in the state during his senior season.
• He took home 4th place in the 800 at the New Jersey Meet of Champions.
• He was named Somerset County Athlete of the Year at the conclusion of the academic year.
