Roc Johnson's up-to-date results
As a Junior (2017-18)
• Did not compete in any track meets.
• Saw competitive action on five different occasions during the cross country season, being a top-five scorer for the team in one meet.
• Was 13th overall at the quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU and 138th at the Paul Short Run.
• Went on to finish third for Cornell at the Penn State National Open after completing the course 36th.
• Capped of the season placing 72nd at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships and 129th at the NCAA Northeast Regional.
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Ran in four cross country meets as a sophomore, placing 60th at the Spiked Shoe Invitational, 43rd at the Paul Short 8K Gold Race, 90th at the Penn State National Open and 82nd at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships.
• Competed in four indoor meets and five outdoor meets during his sophomore season.
• Won the 3000 at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational (8:36.66) and also won the 3000 steeplechase at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational (9:32.38).
• Collegiate best of 9:15.20 in the 3000 steeplechase was good for 11th at the IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Ran in four cross country races as a freshman, finishing a season-best 15th at the John Reif Memorial.
• Had a strong start to the indoor track season, helping the 4x800 meter relay team to a win at Greg Page Relays.
• Also placed second in the mile at the Cornell Sunday Invitational.
• Outdoors, finished third in the 1500 at the Cornell Outdoor Upstate Challenge and in the 3K steeplechase at the Big Red Invitational.
Before Cornell
• A North Coast Section champion in the 1600 meters as a senior, Johnson holds personal bests of 1:56.71 in the 800, 4:17.53 in the 1600 and 9:27.35 in the 3200.
• He helped the De la Salle High School cross country team to North Coast Section titles in 2013 and 2014 with individual finishes of seventh and 10
th, respectively.
• He holds a 5k personal best of 15:56.
Personal
• Roc Wayne Johnson is the son of Peter and Carin Johnson.
• He has two younger brothers, Casey and Trey, and is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
