Senior Season — 2015-16
Bauman competed at four tournaments with a scoring average of 78.90. His best finish was a tie for 16th among the three-team field at the Cornell Spring South Florida Invitational, where he was competing as an individual. Bauman's lone appearance as part of Cornell's five-man scoring entry came in the season-opening Colgate Invitational, where he helped the Big Red to a second-place finish by finishing 27th individually.

Junior Season — 2014-15
Bauman had a scoring average of 81.00 over nine tournament rounds in his his debut with the Big Red. He competed as an individual in three of his four events, finishing fifth in the limited-field RTJ Individual Shootout in April. He was one of the Big Red's five team entries in the season-opening Navy Fall Classic, where he carded a 75 on the first day — his best round of the season.

Prior to Cornell
Bauman is a two-time winner of the Philadelphia Section PGA College Series event at Trump National Golf Club in Philadelphia. He shot an even-par 71 for a four-stroke victory in 2013, then shot a 1-under-par 70 in 2014 for a three-shot win. Bauman played football and tennis at The Pennington School before joining the golf team for his senior year. In football, he was named to The Star-Ledger All-Prep Second Team as an offensive lineman during his junior season. He was the captain of the tennis team as a junior and captured the New Jersey Prep state championship for third singles.

Alexander Bauman is the son of Ward and Beth Bauman. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
