As a junior in 2009-10, Myer competed in the Cornell Fall Invitational, shooting a two-round total of 157. His season low round of 75 came in the first round. Myer saw action in six tournaments for the Big Red in 2008-09, shooting a low round of 73 in the second round at the Ivy League championships. Myer had had a top 20 finish at the Cornell Invitational, shooting a 74 in the one-round event. For the season, Myer played 14 rounds and had a stroke average of 80.86.

At South Seneca HS
Myer lettered in golf six times at South Seneca HS, earning first-team all-league honors in each of his final three seasons. He was the county junior champion in both 2005 and 2006 and served as team captain as a junior and senior. Myer was a two-year letter winner on the basketball team as a small forward.

Personal
Bennett Paul Myer is the son of John and Mary Jo Myer. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
