Biography
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Competed individually in Cornell Invitational and Cornell Spring Invitational.
• Finished 65th at Cornell Invitational with rounds of 77, 75, and 77.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed for six years with Lake Placid HS, ascending to No. 1 position by freshman year.
• Helped lead team to four consecutive undefeated seasons via 40 straight wins, then won medalist honors by wide margin at 2017 NYSPHSAA Section VII Championships.
• Four-time qualifier for state tournament, held annually at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell.
• Won Craig Chism Memorial Golf Tournament and is two-time winner on Northeastern New York PGA Junior Tour.
• Also a league all-star in soccer and hockey, helping Lake Placid HS advance to state semifinals twice in hockey.
• Served as president of chapter of National Honor Society.
Personal
• Bjorn Auke Kroes is the son of Rich and Katrina Kroes, and he has a younger sister and a younger brother.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
