Freshman Season — 2012-13
Farese did not see any tournament action as a freshman.
Prior to Cornell
Farese was a five-year member of the Sayville HS golf team, ascending to the captaincy in his junior and senior seasons. He also lettered in wrestling and baseball, where he helped Sayville to the Suffolk County championship game. In golf, he was selected to two all-league honors and one all-county honor, with Sayville finishing second in the league in his final two seasons. He is also a Congressional Award Gold Medal Recipient, won the USGA-AJGA Presidents' Leadership Award and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
John Robert Farese is the son of John and Marian Farese, and he has a younger brother and younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
