Biography

At Vestal: A three-time letter winner at Vestal HS, Bechtel excelled in and out of the classroom. Bechtel was named a New York State Scholar Athlete and was a four-time letter recipient in ice hockey. He was an assistant captain on the hockey team and also won the program[apos]s coaches award.

Personal: Matthew Robert Bechtel is the son of Carl and Rita Bechtel and has a younger brother Michael. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
