Biography
At Cornell
As a junior, Davis was a starter on two events and had the team’s highest vault score of the 2007 season (9.75). At the Ivy Classic, she placed third with a 9.7, and at the USAG Collegiate Nationals placed eighth to became a three-time All American in the event. As a sophomore in 2006, Davis won vault at the Ivy Classic and the ECAC championship. She served as team captain in 2006, and was also named one of Cornell’s top athletes by the Cornell Daily Sun in both 2006 and 2007. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Human Ecology.
In Secondary School
Davis was a level 10 regional and national qualifier from Masssachusetts Gymnastics Center. In 2004, she placed second in the all-around at the Massachusetts level 10 state meet and placed second on vault and floor and fourth in the all-around at level 10 regionals. Davis is a three-time Junior Olympics national competitor. She attended Marian High School, where she was the treasurer of the National Honor Society and she received the Mt. Holyoke College book award. She was also a track competitor in the 100-meter dash, the 4x100 meter relay and shot put.
Personal
Colleen Davis is the daughter of Hoyt and Donna Davis and has two brothers.
