Coaching at Cornell
Condo served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Big Red from 2005-18, helping the programs to four USPA national titles (men in 2005; women in 2011, 2015 and 2016). During that period, Cornell posted a 382-125-1 combined record (.753) with 24 Northeast regional titles. He served as interim head coach during the first semester of the 2018-19 season, taking responsibility for all aspects of the program. He was also on the staff of the 2010 interscholastic team out of Cornell that won a national title.
Condo made his mark just one year into being named head coach, leading the men's and women's program to a combined 20-10 record. On the women's side, he helped Lea Jih-Vieira, the teams top goal scorer, to perfect her talents and achieve a spot on Team USA at the Intercollegiate College Cup.
The 2023-24 season was a successful one for Condo as he led the men's team to a Division II National Intercollegiate Polo Championship. He also led the women's team to a third-place finish at the Division II National Intercollegiate Polo Championships as well. Condo repeated that success in the next season, taking both teams back to the National Championship, this time falling on the men's side and capturing the women's first ever championship.
Prior to Cornell
Condo is a USPA certified instructor, clinician and certified umpire, having officiated Intercollegiate and Interscholastic polo tournaments, including the USPA National Championships on several occasions. He has extensive playing experience in both outdoor and arena polo, and has most recently served as a tournament manager for the NYTS (National Youth Tournament Series) program since 2020.
