Prior to Cornell
Violette was a member of the lacrosse and cross country teams in high school. He served as team captain of the cross country squad in 2010.

Nathaniel Paul Violette is the son of John Violette and Pamela Kirk and has an older brother, William, who also attended Cornell. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
