At Ithaca HS
Brumsted lettered three times in rowing at Ithaca high school. He helped the Little Red to a second place finish at the NYS scholastic rowing championships as a senior in the men’s junior 8, as well as a third place finish at the Head of the Fish during his freshman season in the freshman-8 boat. Brumsted also took third in the 2007 Empire State Games in the men’s junior 4.

Personal
William Tryon Brumsted is the son of David and Julie Brumsted and he has one older and one younger brother. An Ithaca native, Brumsted comes from a long line of Cornell graduates, including his cousin, former Big Red basketball player Pete Call. Brumsted is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
