Biography
2024-25 | SENIOR SEASON
Rowed exclusively from No. 4 seat in 1V8+ during spring season ... aided crew to first-place finishes on both days of National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational (March 29-30), as well as in Platt Cup (April 12), Baggaley Bowl (April 26), and Geiger Cup (May 3) races ... competed with V8+ at Head of the Charles (Oct. 20), where crew placed second out of 13 crews.
2023-24 | SENIOR SEASON
Began spring season rowing with 1V8+ before moving back to 2V8+, where he placed first at Geiger Cup (April 20) and Baggaley Bowl (April 27) ... earned bronze medal at IRA National Championship (June 2) with 2V8+ ... raced at Head of the Charles (Oct. 22) with V8+ ... placed first at Princeton Chase (Nov. 5) with 1V8+, while also racing with 2V4+.
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Captain of the Princeton National Association Mercer Junior Rowing team in 2019-20… earned a silver medal in Men's 4+ at US Rowing's Youth Nationals in 2019.
PERSONAL
Grant Smith is the son of Elizabeth and Laurence Smith… has a has a brother and a sister… he is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
