Cornell University Athletics

As a senior (2018-19)
• Served as the bowman for the third varsity eight throughout his senior campaign.
• Advanced to the Grande Final with the third varsity eight at the EARC Sprints, finishing sixth.
• Helped the third varsity eight triumph over Princeton with a time of 5:57.20.
• Helped the third varsity eight down Penn, giving Cornell the edge to with the Leonard Points Cup.

As a junior (2017-18)
• Rowed in the bow seat of the second varsity eight for the first three races of his junior season before moving into the bow seat of the varsity eight for the final three races of the year.
• Helped the second varsity eight o victories over Princeton and MIT, before picking up a win over Dartmouth in the varsity eight. 
• Was in the varsity eight that took sixth overall at Eastern Sprints.
• Rowed the varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Finals at IRAs.

As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Began his sophomore season as a member of the fourth varsity eight.
• Quickly moved to the third varsity eight where he helped the crew defeat Princeton, Columbia & MIT, and Dartmouth.
• Also rowed for the third varsity eight that placed fourth in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.

As a freshman (2015-16) 
• Rowed in the fifth varsity eight that took the gold medal at the 2016 Eastern Sprints.
• Helped Cornell earn the Leonard Cup with a win over Penn and Harvard, as well as posting a victory over Princeton.

Prior to Cornell 
• Rowed for two years with the San Diego Rowing Club.
• Won a silver medal in the lightweight double at the 2015 Southwest Regionals, after winning a gold in the novice quad.
• Placed fourth in the lightweight double at the 2015 nationals.
• Also earned two varsity letters in soccer at The Bishop’s School.
 
Personal
• Jack Edward Piegza is the son of Edward and Susan Piegza and he has one brother.
• Enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
