Biography

At Canisius HS
Thompson was a four-year letter winner in rowing at Canisius high school. He won back-to-back USRowing Youth National Championships in 2006 and 2007, after winning bronze medals at the Scholastic national championships those same years. Thompson also earned a gold medal at the 2005 Club national championships, before taking silver in the 2007 event.

James Roy Thompson is the son of Diane Gerard. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
