Biography
At Cornell
Calderone won a gold medal at 2010 Eastern Sprints as a member of the Big Red’s freshman-8 crew.
At Manhasset HS
Calderone rowed for four years and earned three varsity letters at Manhasset high school, serving as captain in 2008 and 2009. He earned back-to-back state championships and two straight SRAA championships in the quad as a junior and a senior. Calderone also won a championship in the quad at the 2008 Stotesbury Cup Regatta.
Personal
Joseph Salvatore Calderone is the son of Salvatore and Christine Calderone and he has one older brother. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
