Did not appear in any races with lightweight rowing team ... competed exclusively with men's heavyweight rowing team.
2023-24 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Rowed exclusively with 3V8+ during regular season and at Eastern Sprints Championship (May 19) ... earned first-place finishes at Matthews/Leonard Cup (April 6), Platt Cup (April 13), Geiger Cup (April 20), and Eastern Sprints ... raced with 1V4+ at IRA National Championship (May 31 and June 1) ... appeared at Head of the Charles (Oct. 22) with 2V4+ and with 2V8+ at Princeton Chase (Nov. 5).

Rowed for four years and was a team captain for one season.

Joseph Paul Savell is the son of Paul and Janet Savell, and has two brothers ... older brother, Jack, is also member of Cornell men's lightweight rowing team ... father, Paul, is director of rowing and head men's rowing coach at Drexel ... enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
