Biography
At Cornell
Bazalgette spent his rookie season in the first freshmen boat that took third place at the 2011 Eastern Sprints.
Prior to Cornell
Bazalgette rowed for four years with the Marin Rowing Association. He was team captain and won his team’s Novice Oarsman of the Year award in 2007. That summer, he earned a gold medal at club national in the Junior B 8+ and took silver in the Junior B 4+. Bazalgette rowed in Marin’s heavyweight varsity boat in 2008, 2009 and 2010, taking 10th, fifth and second at youth nationals, respectively.
Personal
Jones Nickerson Bazalgette is the son of Angela and Mark Bazalgette and he has a twin sister, a younger brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
