Biography
As a junior (2019-20)
• Rowed on the third varsity eight in Flight 1 at the Princeton Chase, helping the boat clock a time of 14:21.201.
• Teamed up with Joe While to compete in the men’s 2- in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic.
• Rowed on the Cornell B 8+ boat in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, recording a time of 12:00.60.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
As a sophomore (2018-19)
• Rowed on the fourth varsity eight during his sophomore campaign.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight advance its boat to the Grand Finals of the EARC Sprints, placing fifth overall.
• Competed on one of the two Cornell varsity four boats against Dartmouth.
As a freshman (2017-18)
• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight during his freshman season.
• Helped the crew to a seventh place finish at Eastern Sprints.
Prior to Cornell
• Lettered three times in rowing at Brophy College Preparatory.
• Earned two medals in the men’s varsity quad at the SRAA Championships, taking gold in 2016 and bronze in 2017.
• Won gold medals in both the men’s quad and the men’s double at the 2017 Southwest Youth Championship.
• Earned a gold medal in men’s single at the 2016 Southwest Youth Championship.
• Took home a bronze medal in the men’s youth quad at the 2016 Youth Nationals.
• Was also a member of the Tempe Scullers.
• Earned one letter in football at Brophy College Preparatory.
Personal
• Kade Denver Hawkins is the son of L.D. Hawkins and Kathryn Bricker and he has one younger brother.
• Grandfather, Ed Bricker, Jr., played football at the University of Arizona from 1960-1965, while his uncle, Ed Bricker III played football at Northern Arizona University.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
