Cornell University Athletics

As a senior (2018-19)
• Stroke for the 4th varsity 8 in his senior year
• Helped the fourth varsity eight advance to the Grand Finals of the EARC Sprints, placing fifth overall.
• Competed on one of two Cornell varsity four boats against Dartmouth.

As a junior (2017-18)
• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight during his junior season.
• Helped the crew to a seventh place finish at Eastern Sprints.
 
As a sophmore (2016-17)
• Member of the fourth varsity eight and varsity four B throughout his sophomore season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight take bronze in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.
• Rowed for the varsity four B against Columbia and MIT, barely taking second behind the Big Red’s varsity four.

As a freshman (2015-16) 
• Rowed in the sixth varsity eight against Penn, Harvard, and rowed the varsity 4+ to victory against Columbia and MIT.

Prior to Cornell 
• Earned six varsity letters in track and field (indoor and outdoor) and two varsity letters in cross country at Notre Dame High School.
• Served as team captain and was named all-conference in all three sports.
 
Personal
• Luke Meir Sofair is the son of Andre ’82 and Mary Sofair and he has a younger brother and sister.
• In addition to his father, his grandfather, Meir Sofair ’42 also graduated from Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
