Biography
At Cornell
A two-time letter winner, Carbone was a member of Cornell’s 2008 Ivy League championship lightweight varsity-8 and was named first-team All-Ivy as a result. He has a quiet leadership and tenacity that inspires his teammates and his technical skills in the boat enable others to row at a higher level.
At Redwood HS
Carbone rowed for three years with the Marin Rowing Association, where he was the varsity team captain in 2005-06, after serving at the novice team captain in 2003-04. Carbone also lettered once in soccer at Redwood high school.
Personal
James Nicholas Carbone is the son of James and Alison Carbone and he has one younger brother and one younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
