Biography

At Cornell
As a junior, Harriman won a silver medal with the lightweight four without coxswain at the 2015 IRA Regatta. He also helped the Big Red earn its second consecutive Jope Cup by rowing in the second varsity eight that won a silver medal at the 2015 EARC Sprints. During his sophomore season, Harriman rowed in the third varsity eight boat that took the bronze medal at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. Harriman stroked the freshman four that won the gold medal at the 2013 EARC Sprints.

Prior to Cornell
Harriman was a three-time letter winner at Brookline high school, serving at team captain and earning team MVP honors as a sophomore. He held the school record for fastest lightweight 2k (6:24.9) at the time of graduation. As a member of Community Rowing Incorporated, he finished ninth at the 2012 USRowing Youth Nationals in the men’s pair, first at the 2011 USRowing Northeast Regionals in men’s lightweight eight, second at the 2011 USRowing Club Nationals in men’s pair, and 11th at the 2011 USRowing Youth Nationals in men’s lightweight eight.

Personal
Nigel Walsh Harriman is the son of Steven and Nancy Walsh and he has one older brother and one younger sister. His uncle, David Allen Sibley, also attended Cornell. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
