Biography
• IRA All-Academic Team (2015)
At Cornell
Harris moved into the second varsity eight during his junior season and earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Eastern Sprints and helped the Big Red to earn its first Jope Cup since 2008. He then rowed in the varsity four boat that advanced to the IRA Grand Finals, but fell just short of the medal stand, placing fourth overall. As a sophomore, Harris rowed in the third varsity eight that won the silver medal at the 2013 EARC Sprints, before moving into the varsity four and earning the bronze medal at the 2013 IRA Regatta. He rowed as a member of the freshmen eight during his rookie season. Harris helped the crew to a fourth place finish at the 2012 EARC Sprints. During the regular season, the freshmen eight earned victories over Penn, MIT, Columbia and Dartmouth.
Prior to Cornell
Harris lettered four times each in baseball, swimming, and cross country at the Punahou School. He served as the cross country team captain as a senior.
Personal
Peter Norman Harris is the son of Jeffrey Harris and Sandrea Chun and he has two older sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
