Biography

At Cornell
As a junior (2016-17)

• Rowed with the fifth varsity eight that took fourth in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.

As a sophomore (2015-16) 
• Rowed in the heavyweight fifth varsity eight that took fourth place at the 2016 Eastern Sprints.
• Rowed in the varsity four that helped Cornell earn the Leonard Cup with a win over Penn and Harvard, as well as rowing in the sixth varsity eight vs. Columbia and MIT.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• In his first season with the Big Red, Callahan won a silver medal in the fifth varsity eight race at the 2015 EARC Sprints.

Prior to Cornell
• As a member of the Seattle Rowing Center, Callahan won the 2014 Youth National Championships in the men’s quad, as well as the 2014 Northwest Regional Championships in both the men’s quad and the men’s open double.
• Helped the Seattle Rowing Center to win the 2013 NW Regional Championship men’s points trophy and overall points trophy after taking gold in the lightweight double and the men’s varsity quad.
• Also won the gold in the men’s lightweight four and the men’s lightweight double at the 2012 NW Regional Championships after taking the bronze in the lightweight eight at the 2011 event.
 
Personal
• Rowan Leo Callahan is the son of Jonathan Callahan and Leska Fore and he has one older sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
