Biography

As a senior (2018-19)
• Rowed on the fourth varsity eight boat during his senior year.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight advance to the Grand Finals of the EARC Sprints, placing fifth overall.
• Competed on one of two Cornell varsity four boats against Dartmouth.

As a junior (2017-18)

• Rowed in the fourth varsity eight during his junior season.
• Helped the crew to a seventh place finish at Eastern Sprints.

As a sophomore (2016-17)
• Member of the fourth varsity eight and varsity four B throughout his sophomore season.
• Helped the fourth varsity eight take bronze in the Grand Final at the 2017 EARC Sprints.
• Rowed for the varsity four B against Columbia and MIT, barely taking second behind the Big Red’s varsity four.

As a freshman (2015-16) 
• Rowed in the fifth varsity eight that took the gold medal at the 2016 Eastern Sprints.
• Helped Cornell earn the Leonard Cup with a win over Penn and Harvard, as well as posting a victory over Princeton.

Prior to Cornell
• Rowed for four seasons with Chaminade High School.
• Helped the Flyers to win the 2014 New York State Championship and was named the team’s Most Valuable Rower that same season.
 
Personal
• Ryan Matthew Peters is the son of Larry and Nadine Peters and he has two younger brothers and two younger sisters.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
