2024-25 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Joined men's lightweight rowing team before start of fall season after spending freshman season with women's rowing team ... served as coxswain in three of seven spring races, coxing 4V8+ to first-place finish at Platt Cup (April 12) ... also coxed 2V8+ at Matthews/Leonard Cup (April 5) and 4V8+ at Geiger Cup (May 3).
2023-24 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Served as coxswain of women's 3V8+ during spring season at Cayuga Cup (April 6), EARC Women's Springs (May 5), and Ivy League Championships (May 18-19) ... coxed women's novice 8+ to victory at Head of the Fish (Oct. 28).
PRIOR TO CORNELL
Five-year member of rowing team at Manhasset Secondary ... twice named Coxswain of the Year (2021 and 2023) ... also was elected team captain for 2022-23 season.
PERSONAL
Sofia Lago is the daughter of Laureano and Simone Lago, and has two younger siblings ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
